The Supreme Court was once one of those US institutions that enjoyed special respect. But the extremist majority's recent decisions have pushed its approval rating to an all-time low and its disapproval of the court to new highs.
What qualifies the majority of the court as extremists? It is not merely their decision to set aside Roe v. Wade , the landmark 1973 court decision recognizing a woman's right to choose whether to give birth.
What qualifies them as extremists are the arguments they base their decisions on and the indications of how far they might be willing to go in implementing those arguments.
I really don't understand this shit. Roe v Wade didn't solidify shit, nor amend the constitution. All the Supreme Court did was punt the decision-making back to the states, which is generally the constitutionally-sound move and the job of the Supreme Court.
Where is the oppression or repression? This is the "United States". Not some Federal dictatorship.
