I'm asking you guys this because Any Forums seems to be filled with quack health advice (e.g, covid) so I'm curious to know what you guys think of the work of therapists cause I'm exploring avenues for deal with complex PTSD? I'm sure that if you guys find them useful then they must be a quack. Come on Any Forums what is your views?
Are therapists worth the money or are they complete quacks?

They can be both. I'll never go to one, but they are essentially people you pay a lot of money to in order for them to listen to your bullshit and ask good questions to help you learn more about your problems and yourself. A good friend with decent emotional instinct can replace them pretty easily. But few people have those. It can be pretty worth it
I have PTSD, other than getting the diagnosis all doctors have been fucken useless. I tried giving those cunts a chance to make a difference and in some cases they literally make you worse. Only thing I've tried that has had a genuinely positive impact that is sustainable is an assistance dog. You may call them service dogs over there, and the laws are probably quite different but I'll tell you now, if you have severe PTSD, and have for years, this is likely the option you should be investigating the most. You may have to train your own, and don't let anyone convince you that is too hard, because barring the physical inability to carry out the training you are going to be capable of it with some help. It is actually very easy to train a service dog, especially if it is only for PTSD, don't let anyone convince you otherwise. If you are a guy, you will probably have a harder time with getting used to the fact you need one, than training one, has been that way with me, I still find it really embarrassing
If they are 100% oriented on behavioral therapy without drugs, they can be good.
Therapy is an expensive affair.
C-PTSD is not known by most therapists. C-PTSD specialized therapy is also rare.
I follow Richard Grannon, he's your countryman, just try to get in touch with him. He has million videos no youtube.
Depends on the shrink and you.
Simply talking out problems with another person is very beneficial, and you can talk about things that you would never tell anyone else.
Mostly they just listen and occasionally ask if you have considered different angles and the real therapy happens in your own head as you contemplate, plan and put things in perspective.
Whats the difference between a normal pet dog and a therapy dog?
Checked, only a small amount of training to be more cuddly with lots of random people usually. Therapy dogs are generally dogs that are taken into hospitals and aged care homes etc to offer emotional support to the patients there, and they don't have any public access rights like an assistance/service dog
Get the Finch app. Thank me later.
If you need to go to therapy and have some overpaid waste of air tell you it's ok to be sad or mad sometimes, just cut your dick off and become a tranny.
Personally I've really benefitted from therapy. I recommend giving it a try. It might be worth having a family member or friend recommend you to a good one though. The first one I had was not a good match for me.
They can range from useless to harmful (such as cult style stuff or even part of gangstalking).
The homosexual jews have treatments for PTSD (it's a neurological issue) but they only use it when one of their cousins has a problem and is allowed to do so.
The invisible caliphate has many tricks like this one (they provoke a disease and the cure is controlled by them).
Anyone that tells you therapy is unmasculine is retarded. You gotta know how you're fucked up if you intend to make changes in your life.
Any Forums will tell you they're all Jew quacks, which should be a clear sign to you, since this place is riddled with mentally ill posters trying to deny and cope their way through life. Here's the thing though, OP. Like says, they can be both, though he's wrong about what they do. He's confusing talk therapy with all therapy. Let me give you the quick rundown on how to heal CPTSD.
The most important part of therapy is that you have a therapist you like and trust, that you feel you can connect with easily. This is the biggest piece that determines your success. If it matters to you, look for a redpilled & man respecting therapist, or someone who aligns with you enough that you can be candid. Someone who isn't a woke leftist. They do exist.
With CPTSD, you should expect a longer road of therapy that includes a major focus on any fucked up childhood attachment issues. Most CPTSD sufferers have attachment issues at the root of it. You can expect that it will involve a lot of learning how to self regulate and making small adjustments to yourself throughout the day, for weeks and years, because CPTSD is created by a lot of small wounds. So it helps to constantly be retraining your system to no longer have the PTSD response.
Fundamentally, all therapy works along the same process which is the science of Memory Reconsolidation (pic rel). Learn about it. There is a form of therapy built around this called Coherence Therapy, but really, any good therapist should be aware of this science and know how their style of therapy can be used in this manner. Learn about it, because it's something you can also do for yourself. If your therapist isn't up on Memory Reconsolidation, ditch them immediately as they are a quack. When done properly, it will heal you permanently, and it can be done with any modality.
Many CPTSD sufferers find somatic therapy to be very helpful since the issue isn't in the conscious, rational mind. Godspeed, user.
If you have people in your life you can talk through your problems with and sounding board off of then no a therapist is worthless.
Some faggot that went to college and only worked as a therapist is not equipped to deal with pol schizos it’s better to find someone who has real world experience to talk to
>See the state of the world
>Get depressed
>Go and see Dr. Sheckelberg Lampshadeblatt Soapbarstein
>Get given pills so you stop noticing things
>Another goyim pacified
>CPTSD
What is it and how common are therapy sessions that are classified as that kind. Also what do you think of Gert Postel
Assume, as a de facto, that all therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists are all retards that have no actual idea of what the actual fuck they're doing; The vast majority of them will not try to fix the root of the problem, but will instead just prescribe you some drug that will make you numb to the problem. However, whilst apathy won’t make you sad, perse, it won’t make you happy either. It’s akin to having your arm amputated, and then given some pain-killers to numb the pain, instead of applying badges to the wound.
Unfortunately, the only proper way to deal with the unconscious in the modern world, is to interact and approach it by your own volition. Whilst, this might seem like a tremendous task—because it is, in fact, a Herculean task—it’s the only path that is currently available.
I suggest you read Jung, start with this:

Good luck, fren.
I 100% agree that PTSD is brain damage, it is pretty well accepted that is the case now
