Anyone who has been adjacent to indigenous language and culture pushes knows how astro-turfed it is. Only a tiny elite in the indigenous communities engage with it. The written languages were all invented in the 70s. The spoken languages are "recovered" from the elders who still speak them, but they essentially give these surviving elders full reign to recreate all meanings for words. Vocabulary is extremely limited, and they make up a lot as they go.

So you have such absurdities as:

"This word means 'welcome' but it also carries the meaning of 'all of us present with all of our infinite ancestors standing behind us watching over us forever'"

And then you ask, "Ok so what is your word for "infinite""? and there isn't one. Lots of words supposedly have multiple meanings and mean these combinations of high concepts that can somehow only be explained in English words. You wouldn't be able to explain the meanings of the words in the language itself -- only contextually or experientially (which is the claim to legitimacy) -- but it's all originating from a culture and way of life that no longer exists.

It's exactly like how woke language is constructed. Everything means multiple things, but most of the words that could be used to say what they mean are already not allowed.

"Honor" may no longer mean what it used to mean, and it might actually take a paragraph to explain what a 17th century person meant by the word -- but the word is still there. The words you could use to explain it are there.

Most of indigenous "knowledge" is made up and caters to wokeism for marketing purposes.
