Some are saying that it's related to the real estate crisis. Many billions of bad loans were made to real estate companies from small banks using depositors money. As the companies default, the small banks don't have funds to pay the depositors.

America should move all of its manufacturing to south america and double down on the monroe doctrine. We cut our dependency on china, still get cheap labor/goods, AND the influx of industrial jobs to south america will keep potential immigrants employed in their home country with their families so they will be less likely to come to the USA.

Also Chinese people invested a lot in real estate, speculating on it was seen as the best way to invest money.
We're talking taking a stupidly high loan to buy a place, never use it in any way, not even painting the walls, then sell it for more later.
But prices are now stagnating or even falling, so bugs are fucked and their real estate companies even more.
