Why is it impossible to drive between North and South America?

It's America's backyard. We really can't figure out the infrastructure to cross this tiny gap? Or is there a political reason?

Same reason there are no sidewalks in rural areas.

Niggers

Yo want to make it easier for those people to drive up here?

Why would you want to?

People do motorbike trips between the Americas all the time btw

They ferry across this part

political/environmental, it's dense jungle and we've cut down too much of that as it is. Probably some terrain issues too hence it not getting clear-cut before environmentalism became a thing.

Communists arent people

I think we got some natives in there. Nasty ones too. Also muh environment. Honestly its a waste of time and effort to do anything to the darien gap. We have boats to go around it.

So your real question is

>Why can't cars and motorcycles drive on water?

kek

Darien.
Kek
The colony that broke Scotland.
Who thought it was a good idea to park Scots in tropical rain forest?

political.

FARC rebel land.

That area is filled with drug traficantes. A swede got murdered backpacking through there.

>build superhighway to nowhere
>get eaten by jungle niggers who randomly waylay you
You can't ever have nice things.

Mountains, swamps, natives, natural reservoir of malaria and other shit.

FUCK OFF We're FULL!

it remains there to prevent species migration between north and south america, allegedly

kek.
>underrated sarcasm.

It was left undeveloped to prevent the spread of disease from south to north

>We really can't figure out the infrastructure to cross this tiny gap?
When I was down that way, I had the same questions
It was put to me like this:
It's not like they have not tried - they have
The road bed keeps sinking into the swampy assed jungle
They build a road, it sinks. They build another one - it sinks
Hell, the way they put in drainage isn't very different
Build a road, wait for it to flood during the rainy season and then dig it up to put in drainage
Plus, the way I understand it, unless something has changed, the Colombians and the Panamanians hate each other
So there's that

actually lolled

As far as I know you can’t drive to Canada from even Mexico, never seen a plate from there.

Darien´s gap is a cursed place, and the fact it exists makes you understand the true nature of reality. Never approach that area, don't think about that area, never require to cross that area...etc

That's the question, the question is:

> why don't boats fly

>As far as I know you can’t drive to Canada from even Mexico, never seen a plate from there.

You can Drive to Mexico, user...unless Mexico is a psyop.

>Darien´s gap is a cursed place
This
Costa Ricabro is right
It's like going to Costa Rica on vacation
You stay on the coast
You don't go in the jungle
For any reason
There is a better than even chance that, unless you are very experienced (and even then), you're not coming back out
There's shit in there that can and will kill you and eat you
On purpose.
Because that's what they DO
The gap is a similar place
Might as well be "Here There Be Monsters" written on the map

The Darien Gap remains unpaved because its too insecure and it remains too profitable to the cartels to use it to smuggle cocaine, heroin and people. The jungle is too dense for the construction team to survive the constant paramilitary and guerrilla tactics these fuckers use. They would all get shot and no one would finish the job. Unfortunately the colombian armed forces are too pussy to actually patrol the national territory, so you end up with rampant lawlesness.
