Göring did not properly embody fascist ideals and was extremely decadent, even if he was an important Nazi. Göring was also probably not particularly committed to National Socialism, and was such an effective officer he would've risen through the ranks no matter what government was ruling Germany at the time. As a man, Göring would have fit in perfectly with the most decadent parties of the Weimar Republic.
