Any good political book recommendations from pol? I’m about to go to the bookstore and not sure what I should get. I never used to read too much, but it’s seems to be a better substitute than my current drinking habits. Anything on race, class, philosophy, history, etc. would suffice.

There are no good political books at book stores lol. You think the propaganda machine carries anything good for you?

Surely some book stores still carry mein Kampf?

>Any good political book recommendations from pol?

Start with philosophy then move towards politics. Get a foundation before reading manifestos and charters.

Thus spoke Zarathustra by Nietzche.
It goes into the weakening of men into "the last man", the types of "men" you see in western society now, he predicted it all.

The classics.
You niggers like to larp as traditionalist and redpilled, but you are lazy hedonists that never bothered to sit your ass down and read greek and roman works.

It's never been easier, get to fucking work.

Start with Thucydides. It's the most pertinent.
Follow it up with Xenophon.
Then read Lycurgus laws, by Xenophon.
Then Demosthenes' speeches.
Then you can graduate to Aristotle.

From then on, it's up to you.
Do you want to learn about hedonism? The original meaning of the term. Read Epicurus.
Do you want to learn about Stoicism? Epictetus.
Do you want to delve into science and metaphysics? Plato, Aristotle, Heraclitus, Democritus, Euclid, Hippocrates.
Politics, War, culture, and strategy? Thucydides, Sophocles, Strabo, Xenophon, Aristotle, Aristophanes, Callimachus, Euripides, Zeno, Herodotus, Pindar, Isocrates.

The list is endless.

saving this post to probably never look at it again, I'm too lazy

Would start with some Aeschylus and do all the ancient stuff

>I am not sure which school it was, but it was one of the East coast Ivy League schools during the 1950-60′s. They had it on their required reading list. I think that their intent was to insite a strong responce from students, and to make them think about what their assumptions were. Which is the first step in developing critical thinking skills. The main thing to remember about Starship Troopers, is the concept of what is your citizenship worth to you? Is it worth your life.

>plato
90% of plato is literally just:
>"I love young boys commodus, do you?"
>"Why yes theophanes, young boys are fantastic."
>"everything is fine, the demiurge is just trying to do the right thing, he dindu nuffin, good principles because of young boys."
>"Indeed, demiurge good, young boys good, simple as."
>"In our old age, we have learned that young people cannot, is that young boys and the demiurge are great."

like a thief in broad daylight - slavoj zizek

You sound obsessed with young boys.
You OK?

Anybody that thinks plato is great clearly shares his homosexual perspective. I'm just saying. Platonism is:
>Demiurge good
>Homosexuality good
>Life good
>Simple as

Even though anybody with a splash of honesty and integrity knows none of this is the case whatsoever.

useful to know what to do next,
