Good art should attempt to describe patterns beyond the physical. Just like science finds patterns in the physical.
Religion is good art. God existed before religion. Atheists are retarded for taking it literally and not symbolically for patterns of reality that actually exist.
As I'm leaving my 20s I do see the arrogance of my younger self in simply discarding a thousands-years surviving tradition of Western Thought by artists, philosophers, scientists and men of letters more educated and imaginative than I, without ever giving it any serious attempt at understanding. There's a really rich tradition in the history and like it or not, it is tied in with religion and losing touch with that without ever fully exploring what's there in plain sight, seems foolish in the complete opposite direction, to me now.
