No, they do not. US schools teach about Germany post 1939. The curriculum for US schools is determined by the Dept. of Education, if you were taught about Weimar republic then it was an elective class that most schools likely do not offer. I took every history class my high school offered (elective or otherwise), and I didn't learn about Weimar until after high school.

I had never heard of the Weimar Republic until I was well into adulthood. They teach about the holohoax, they NEVER teach about the Weimar Republic. Because then people might think it was all justified.
