I think one of three things are happening here.
Either Musk didn't fully understand what he was getting into and signed a foolish contract, he's being eccentric and Twitter was his momentary play thing, or he never really wanted to acquire Twitter and will have a lengthy court battle, end up paying a billion, all the way creating chaos and distrust in the business, therefore creating a void that he can fill with his own social media platform.
