Economics Minister Habeck has predicted said "if the citizens refuse to save energy, the government can make them do it" and has also confirmed that energy will be rationed and distributed in winter, saying that industry will be compensated by the ECB as long as they do not get the needed energy. Education Minister Raab has also predicted school closures in winter due to a lack of heating.
