Under the Folk Chinese Religon/Shintoism, although there is an overarching belief (i.e. main Pantheons, Heaven being the supreme authority, etc.) people would gravitate towards a cult surrounding a specific deity, teaching, ascended mortal, or spirit due to (check whatever applies).
