Red bull/monster drinks and shitty cheap vending machine food. I work manual labor and the majority here eat garbage and they also smoke cigs, chew, or vape on break. Its like they never got over HS

Been in the gym for 20 odd years now, I can tell you one thing about lifters today, they dont want to eat, theyre terrified of gaining a single gram of bodyfat, so they starve themselves, they never get big and strong, they just stay small and weak, and the lifting ends up making them even smaller because theyre not eating to sustain the physical activity (due to fear of gaining fat)

Even as close back as the early 2010s guys would actually eat. Nobody eats now. The current trend is to just be ultra lean, but people dont understand you'll never gain any size or strength focusing on being ultra lean, not unless you of course go through a building phase, which most guys are just terrified to do

Yep, most of the guys in the gym, even between midnight and 3am here are lean as fuck, wearing shorts shorter than women's and string tanks, never deadlift, never squat atg, are not strong but the look nice

We did a hang competition at my workplace. Where you try to hang as long as possible. A guy who doesn't do any strength training beat everyone else by a quite large margin, he does play guitar quite a lot, so I don't know if that attributed to his grip strength.
I was quite disappointed at my result, even though I'm the only one that does moderate amount of training.
