Actually that would be the German chapter which has existed since before 1932 and was a direct response to the fascist movement in Germany
They were drafted into the army by a president who ran on an anti-war platform, and polls at the time showed most Americans would rather lose the war than win and end segregation.
My grandparents fought in the war and they never mentioned the nazis, they fought against the Germans and the Japanese. They fought for their nation they were motivated by nationalism and patriotism; the idea that these men were motivated by hatred of nazis is gaslighting.
