my father and 2 of my sisters are left handed. I tend to find them relatively dry creatively speaking and are sort of assholes. i am not saying it is because they are left handed, btw. but from my experience that aren't necessarily better than anyone and in fact can be somewhat narcissistic and assholes. my father doesn't care about anything but money, one of my sisters got a degree in black history and the other has a tramp stamp over her ass and was always a bully to everyone when growing up. so i don't see them as superior people at all. in fact somewhat assholish and annoying. and that's just an anecdote, not a rule, obviously.

It's certainly influenced by genetics. But I also just think it is part self reinforced learning. If one hand just has slightly better dexterity, you are going to use that one for whatever task, making it even better in the process and the other even worse. Like brushing your teeth for example.
