Would the ruling class even let people have an easy way out? The sad fact is that depressed people will spend every cent trying not to be depressed. Depressed people buy their pills, their food, video games, porn, etc. Essentially, people to them are dairy cows that fuel their extravagant lifestyles. There's no economic incentive to give people an easy way out. So, unless there is a normie uprising that demands it, it won't happen for another century. Modern society has shown it doesn't care about these people. You can see the response to mass shootings that society is largely oblivious to the problem.
