Russia's strategy is to extend the Ukraine war into the winter, and use gas/oil as leverage to force Europe to make concessions - or otherwise freeze to death. It's surprising that most Europeans don't see this coming, even though it's quite obvious based on events so far. Russia will make a slow crawl toward the Dnieper, and then let 'General Zima'/winter do the fighting.
I hope you Europeans have a real plan to deal with this, and not just thoughts & prayers.
