Sirs, I am a young man trying to buy a cheap house. any tips? these one I've found are all under a 100k and have a decent amount of land (aside from the last but it has lake rights so I could kayak and shit), but they're old. Do I buy in and raise goats? I really have no experience with homeowning, and I saw that thread yesterday about the user who spent all his savings on an unlivable house and don't want to be that guy

Also this in on Any Forums because the housing crisis is political

Just be aware the govts, charities, ngos are moving immigrants, legal and illegal, to upstate new york towns and have been doing so for some time.

Stay where you are. A war will happen relatively soon . You can the go to what was china and buy a village for $100,000, provided it's not radioactive . Dont you speak chinese over there

No

First one is nice but it has/had some major roof leaks. Pass on that one.
How much do you have to put down and what do you do for a living?

I have 120k and I work as a sailor. So I would be away from home often

if it's been fixed, why still pass on it?

The ceilings have been patched horribly and I doubt it's been fixed. It needs a roof and lot of work inside. There's lesser headaches out there.

it clearly hasn't been fixed(properly), you can see where the painters tape is still on the wall where they painted over the watermark stains on the ceiling. I'm not OP of the comment you are replying to but of the 3 I think 2 is the best option. Most land, and hasnt been touched by vinyl plank flooring yet but the DIYer owners like the first. Also its 70 years newer.
option 3 is a hard pass because I would never want to live on a body of water. There are countless reasons but one just being the bugs, and the rowdy drunk boaters wanting to vandalize.

2 is also mostly all wood paneling and shit carpet so you can easily tear that out and, re-floor and drywall and have a really nice home

Some thing to consider is that New York is one of the highest states for property taxes. Those houses are close to Pennsy so you might consider that. Nothing wrong with an old house as long as it was maintained. If they let it go then you have hidden damage like termites and water damage. You NEED an inspection on anything you buy.

Id rather live in PA than NY. Lower property taxes, better gun laws.

you are going to need a lot of goats

Love goats, me

You won't need to pay anything after the war.
>I work
Unlucky.

I spent $270k on an old but nice house with a huge lot in a medium sized town that is just outside the major metro dystopia that I have to work at.
Well, perhaps I shouldn't say "have to" work at. You don't really "have to" do anything, ever. But my particular career path requires me to be near a major city unfortunately.
If I could live in a small town like that with a house under $100k, and make any kind of money enough to support that with a family then I would rather do that.

I spent $270k
Why do that when you can live under a bridge for free? Becoming a real life troll.

Stay in Turkey.. seriously. You don’t want to live through what is about to come. Food shortages are about to get real t. I work with farmers.

No in the UK sonny Jim
You need a permit to be under that bridge and a valid troll license

This is true but he’s more fucked in turkey than here; we’re still the largest exporter, and when the chips are down, you keep your food. Turkey doesn’t grow shit.
Just make sure there’s not a ton of niggers around and you’re probably fine. Buy an old place, fix it up, and you’re good. You’ll be away from home most of the time anyway, it sounds like. That’s why the nigger thing matters; you don’t want them coming in and stealing copper/your bikes while you’re out at sea. Buy cheap, being in debt sucks.

>turkey
Burgers.. I..

I don’t check flags, I just read shit. Where are you?

>tries to buy a cheap house
>is a dadddygov singapore-african
