The USA mobilized more troops to Alaska recently but they don't take it seriously. Russia could hypothetically sneak soldiers into Chukotka as well move naval assets close to the bering sea. Alaska is huge so Russia would have to cover a lot of ground in a short time but USA would have the same problem.

The US coalition had twice as many troops as Russia has now in Ukraine, and Iraq had about the same numbers as Ukraine does now. Ukraine has massive technological superiority over what Iraq could muster at the time. There's also the problem of population. Ukraine is far more populous than Iraq, and contrary to what West media wants to perpetuate, the Russians don't want to kill civilians because they view them as the same people. Also there's matter of intent. The Russians stated intent in the war is to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, not conquer, while the US was in Iraq to take over the whole country and install a new regime.
