Why do these 2 countries not give a flying fuck about each other

I've often wondered this, being they're both very related why isn't there any major cooperation between the two, some kind of trading partnership etc. I don't know the culture but it seems to be they're not even aware of each other. Do they hate each other? Your people on average are richer but together were more powerful type thing going on? Wouldn't it make sense if they teamed up or no?

I live in a city in Massachusetts which is almost equal parts both of them and it puzzles me how both seem to genuinely not even know about each other or don't give a fuck

Well ones got 220 million vs 10 million. They'd most definitely have alot to profit from each other. Don't shit on yourself too much last I read brazil has something like 2 trillion in gdp vs 200 billion in portugal. Which is why I dont get why portugal doesn't try taking some of that shit somehow

The Brazilian history curriculum enjoys Portugal bashing in a similar way that US whites do to themselves.
