They unironically think that everyone owes them shit for existing, and West in particular is some kind of charity organization. It perfectly explains ease with which they let themselves be convinced to convert their country into single use expendable projectile - they were genuinely expecting a fabulous reward. This is the result of Ukraine being USSR's prime gibs recipient starting with reign of hohol Khruschev, which facilitated mentality that lingers to the present day, and can only be beaten out of hohol'd retard skull only by Charles Darwin.
