As the child of Soviet immigrants, I don't like Communism or any of the suffering that it brought, but I cannot deny that Communism brought a lot of rapid industrialization to an otherwise rural and underdeveloped country. Take for example the idea of mass transport, although poorly implemented, could be materialized in a Communist society.
