One bigger reason being that people are more likely to give you opportunities or straight up free shit if they think you work hard at some skilled labor. You'd think it would be the other way around (giving the free stuff to the poorer family members) but it's not.

Idgaf. My cousin is married to an anesthesiologist. As soon as she says that, people literally bend over snd show her how prolapsed their asshole is. But her kids are fucked up. One is autistic, and the other is a girl looks like a chihuahua. I have a friend who’s an opthalmologist surgeon and makes over 700k. I have asked him twice on 2 separate occasions what his wife does all day cuz she used to do homeschool but doesn’t anymore. He said he doesn’t know twice. I didn’t press it. I talked to her at a party once and there were a lot of people there. I told her I had a third child and my mom was dying. I talked to him a few weeks later and told him the same thing and he acted like he never heard it before. So it seems to me maybe he and the wife aren’t that close anymore. I see this over and over in very high status families. Kids are fucked up. Family/spouse is distant. Look under the carpet, and there’s dust just like everyone else. It’s all a show like Facebook or Instagram. Personally I like the quiet life.
