Blacked-Out Vending Machines

Does anyone else have any experience with blacked-out vending machines?

People spraypaint over the front of the machines so that you can't see the contents. There are tonnes of urban legends about anarchists using them as "grenade vending machines" etc, but the documentation is few and far between.

I've run into a few when I was living in Chicago, but never tried to buy anything from them.

I have been always fascinated with the problem of how to get free stuff from them by combining (if possible) an appropriate sequence of operations on the number grid.

I think in the past such thing were possible for specific types and even in Any Forums there were some images on how to hack some specific coca cola vending.

Does anybody know sbout state of the srt sbout this? Is s neat trick to show off in front of friends.

No, my town is still majority white.

There used to be codes on the old machines, then the slightly newer ones you could hold the flap closed and make the machine think the product was out of stock = multiple freebies, today’s machines I doubt you can mess with. Old Any Forums used to give you fake coupons that actually worked and you could pretty much use those anywhere with a barcode scanner. Everything got shut down

I have never seen one but I would assume it's just a nigger vandalizing property, as usual. They are too dumb to break into a vending machine once without damaging it, let alone multiple times to collect money. If they stay that way for a while it's probably because the owner of the machine finds it like that when it's going to be restocked and decides that there's no point trying to sell things to animals

I miss our coupons never did try itz

Just look up the machine or controller model online and read the manual idiot. That's how you "hack" anything in public.

Oh, the machine was assembled by some local company that doesn't post their manuals online? tough luck

4-2-3-1 would access the administrator menu on many operator's machines for almost a dozen years. anons could use that method to get a couple free sodas or a few bucks when they needed

>grenade vending machines
What kind of Sasquatch-existing-in-GTA-San-Andreas-tier bullshit is this? EOD specialist here, how the fuck would that work? I grenade with the pin pulled in the vendor unit? Seems impossible to both hold the spoon and at the same time easily remove it during the purchase

>check the manuals
please stop embarrassing yourself. I bet you give bullshit advice on daily basis in reddit.

>If you want to steal a book from the library somehow get the book not to touch the detector
>You want to open a locker? practice lockpicking by the manuals

Those coupons never worked. The only way they worked were if they were for low value items and managers got tired of trying to scan and fail and just comp'd the item.

Never worked for PS4's or Xbox 360's though...those were jail bait.

The Any Forumstard who made those "free PS3" coupons got sent to jail, also hit with nearly 1 million in restitution.

OP outs himself in the 1st post as a spammer using multiple IP addresses in his own thread.

I was already a little suspicious because this is a weird thread to make on a politics forum but then that 1st post.

Looks like bot script spam in this thread.

They were a tool for anarchists to distribute tools. The idea wasn't to blow up the vending machine.

They would black out the vending machine after breaking into it and stocking supplies into a few known locations and then only share those few locations (e27 and f15 for instance) with their comrades.

Where else would I post this? It is an anarchist thread at root, so I don't think it belongs on Any Forums.

also you're using sage wrong newfag

the correct way is to buy one of whatever you're interested in on Ebay and fuck with it until something interesting happens

I had a folder and most worked. Get in the right thread and anons would make whatever you requested. It was mostly low end stuff, but $5 off something that cost $6 is still pretty good. Got the $50 visa gift card once.

I wasn’t stupid enough to try the free Xbox or whatever, the $1 off energy drinks and shit worked though. It was like right at the advent of self-checkouts near me. Today’s self checkouts have cameras and shit, I wouldn’t try it.

You need to go back
