Do the math. A household of four makes like $60,000 per year on average. After taxes, medical insurance etc., it's like $40,000. Divide by four. The average middle class Mexican is better off nowadays. In fact, middle income countries are doing better than America now, at least their middle classes are doing better than ours.
The median income in the US is about $32,000 per year, so an ordinary couple would make around $64,000 per year, and at such low-paying jobs their insurance would be shit, so they'd be shelling out large premiums and copays. Moreover, they'd be considered middle class and ineligible for gibs, even with kids. So they'd be pretty much broke as fuck even in the cheaper parts of the US.
The median income in the US is just over $30,000 per year. Most people aren't app developers. There are far more retail, restaurant, and warehouse workers than software developers.

I still don’t buy that. Almost every job will give you at least $50k a year or so. Maybe if you live in the middle of nowhere then sure

Poor fags. You'll get a job when you hit 30. Stop bitching that you need a job now and that it's hard. We all ate 10c roman (probably a 25c bag now). We all starved for a time. Every generation has brutal 20s.

US mean income is around $50,000 per year, but median is around $30,000, since so many ultra-wealthy skew the distribution.
I didn't see any distinction whilst searching, probably because we have way less jews and billionaires than America

Good on you! If you can get by like that you do you. Most jobs are BS with BS bosses. Most people don't live like that though.
