With the drone following them I don't think there was any chance of getting out of this alive for either anyway. Maybe if they laid down their arms and surrendered, but you always take the risk of just getting executed if you do that.

1) Shoot the drone, your position is already alerting the enemy anyway
2) After you know you've been spotted (your buddy getting shot should be a good indicator), run to cover, don't stand still or crawl slowly
Not sure why modern wars are fought by human soldiers and not just remote-controlled drones and vehicles going around killing people.

Since 2014, there has been a civil war. Ukraine has been oppressing them and making Russian language illegal.
Now Russia decided to help these rebels. The ulterior motive is prevention of NATO being at their doorstep.

The average Ukrainian soldier doesn't have access and most likely gets no information the west doesn't want them getting. It's a tragedy that the majority of these young men being sacrificed for the "new world order" don't want to be there and are just scared. To be as scared as that last guy was and still not surrender shows how effective all of the west's lessons in war psychology have been. This video is sad if only to remind us war is not fun and exciting, it's not to be celebrated. When it must be done it should be with the seriousness it deserves. The west are joking about getting naked and showing putin their pecs while putin is treating this like a conflict Russia didn't want but was forced into. Real men are dying. Men with mothers, wives and children stuck in a trench and left to die.
