If you are self aware enough you can focus your body into not getting sick, or to repair damage. If I feel sickness coming on I meditate and focus sending energy from other parts of my body to heal that part. You just refuse to be sick. I have also done this to repair cavities. Meditate, for me it's like sending waves of energy from all parts of my body to the focused area.
