I can't speak for that but some instances we were all quarantined to the ship 2+ weeks prior to an underway and they had everyone in the same berthing THEN did covid tests. If someone came back positive then we were moved to a different section of the same berthing and had our temps checked at 0500 but nothing else. They made us stand 6 feet apart on the mess decks line, took away all our condiments including salt, pepper and syrup but did nothing else for the drills or general workspaces (I was on a destroyer). they also quarantined people to a berthing, and they were not allowed to leave save or 1 hour a day to go topside (outside) to use their phones. Some people were caught leaving and were sent to mast and lost rank/pay. Another instance was people were sent to hotels and were unable to leave and had to have food that was delivered to them. I personally delivered the food on a few occasions, and it was often less than 300 cal worth, and many times was moldy. I could go on but I've already typed enough.

There were no other options, I was a NEET out of high school had zero social skills and was so ugly children though I was satan himself. the military didn't care about any of that, they gave me a paycheck, a purpose, food on my plate and a place to live. After 12 years I've gotten a lot better, I teach sailors for their upcoming billets and I'm a command fitness leader which is not something I would have ever imagined myself to be. I have everything I could want and more, sure I may be serving globohomo but without them I would probably still be in the basement of my parent home instead of them telling me that they're proud of me. For people like me this is the best it'll ever be.
