There's no way for them to retreat, and even if they do, what then? If they get pushed out of the region, they'll be leaving it permanently. More likely they'll put rocket boosters in the assholes of every surviving soldier and rush them there for a glorious last stand on soil that the 25 year old shellers spent all of yesterday mapping out manually with illumination shells, and probably scribbling shit on the landmarks, like it's kingdom of heaven.
Just finished that movie, it's a great movie for an old one. It was made in 60s. I liked the part when the whole world got into nuclear flames, it makes me nostalgic for something that's yet to happen. The movie really drives the main point home, and I think recent events give it a new life.
Remember when the Battle of Donbas was considered decisive because everyone thought Russia would attack Pavlohrad and do some epic high mobility encirclement and then go on to Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro? Pepperidge farm remembers

no military analysis i've read so far takes the economy into account when you look at just how deeply russian industry (and entire economy overall) was interwoven into Western supply chains, and how import from China has dropped also, you begin to realize that there may not be much remaining of the Russian economy half a year from now. a wholesale collapse of most sectors of the economy. ironically this is also the reason China isn't helping Russia. China isn't a charity hivemind. China consists of for-profit investors. and in their calculation, there isn't much sense to invest in Russia right now, in fact it's wise to pull out, cut the losses, and weather the storm
the victim of this will be Russia of course. no military analysis takes an economic collapse into account. Russian gains are minimal. the grindfest that began 3 months ago and ended up with huge casualties netted in Popasna and Severodonetsk. that's it. soon, they will take Lysychansk. that means they only managed to capture Luhansk by July, essentially equating the fighting skill and pace of the "second strongest army in the world" to about the level of 2014 russian glow-op "militiamen." and in the end russia will lose, just like those "militiamen" did in 2014, with one key caveat being that russia has no "bear" to fall back on like those "militiamen" did—because they're the supposed-bear-but-actually the militiamen themselves. and this is all after losing at Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and on the Mykolaiv-Kherson axis, stalling elsewhere (Kryvyi Rih push failed, Zaporizhzhia push failed, every encirclement attempt failed including the one at Zolote, with only a few dozen confirmed POWs) & now Snake Island
so the most realistic assessment of the situation while still keeping brevity is: >RU is winning, like Nazi Germany was in 1943 UA has clear prospects of winning the war, and clear objectives (milestones to take, including in rearmament). Russia does not

Why do polish toilet cleaners think they have the right to mock military wars? Poles can’t fight they’ve never one a fucking war like ever, every single time you’ve fought Russia you’ve had your arse handed to you. Which is why you hide behind NATO and suck American Jewish cock. Embarrassing’s

why does ruskie feel a need to colonize all of eastern europe? take Belarus and Ukraine and fuck off
Oi, look, it's trashcan. Today I've learned that trashcan thinks that 1 MLR can change the outcome of the war. We can forgive trashcan, because his trash country only has 2 MLRs, neither of which is actually operable.
