Instead of raising wages, start cutting taxes and slimming down government

No thats a terrible idea

heavily cut taxes and kill the welfare system

What happened to 15 dollar minimum wage?

terrible presentation of data definitely a kike made this

It's been over a decade since people started pushing for that

Eaten by inflation kek

fucker

Just make it $2000 per hour or even more that would solve all the poverty problems. That's why everyone in Zimbabwe is a millionaire contrary to the US.

You don't understand what it is like in other countries

>Be a small/medium sized business owner in a small town
>Pay yourself and your 30 employees 17$ an hour
>Your business is barely profitable, but u and everyone else are getting paid
>Goverment raises minimum wage to 25$
>No more profitable, if you are lucky u can survive by firing 5-10 employees
>If you CAN'T fire them, you go bankrupt and all the 30 employees lose their job
>Now multiply this with few millions
>Foreigners dont buy american services or products no longer cos they cost more due to high salary
>That also increases bankrupties

Strong labor laws and minimum salary is the reason why some wealthy socialist countries have 7-13% unemployment rates.

Why 25$? Why not 50$? The more money people earn, the more they can spend so this is good for the economy!
Give me one reason it shouldn't be 100$ an hour minimum?

Obviously not, as a citizen of Switzerland I'm not at your level with all your retarded commie bullshit.

why not make it 100 an hour?

Well shit
When does it go to 35 dollar minimum wage?

The minimum wage should depend on the local economy.

$25 an hour for minimum wage might make sense for San Francisco, where everything is expensive.

It doesn't make sense for somewhere in the Midwest.

Who pays the most taxes, I ask you?
Who would it help the most to cut them?

Typical bullshit. If I throw enough money at a problem, it will go away. Rather than addressing why so many people are permanently poor due to their own ignorance and poor decision making, we'll just pay them more and it will all sort itself out. Complicated problems can't be solved with simple solutions.

You're acting like companies arent making record profits

You get $25 then the price of everything goes up to cover the cost and you gain nothing.
Eat the rich.

Money for nothing and the chicks for free? How about developing a skill that is worth something in the market place? You fucking loser.

How about paying people a living wage instead of pushing others down to make yourself feel more important

(((the marketplace)))

>You're acting like companies arent making record profits
On the contrary! If they are making record profits, than they more than can pay 200$ an hour for every employee at least, obviously.
You still haven't given me a single reason why companies shouldn't just pay 250$ an hour. Are you implying that this is somehow unsustainable or it could impact inflation somewhat?

That's roughly how it works, though.
The price of things go up the more people there are looking for it, so large cities will have expensive rent and properties while jobs won't pay as much.
Wages only raise whenever they can't find anyone for the current salary they offer, just like things only go cheaper if nobody buys them at their current price.
The market does adjust itself, it's just that it's adjusting to retards that keep trying to live in large metropolis regardless of how expensive it is or how underpaid they'll be.

A whole lot of people will be fired and will need welfare benefits. Which will raise your taxes. Better to just deport illegals which will result in all kinds of benefits.

>Better to just deport illegals which will result in all kinds of benefits.
There are several ways to get the best end results this would be a start, but there would be easier ways.

This is bad graphic design

Cool now do cost of living

In order to afford it and keep profit margin companies would
Fire employees
Move companies overseas and ship products back to USA
Raise prices to make up cost thus making the increase worthless
Pick 1 op they are all viable options

>How about paying people a living wage
Why would anyone do that when there's plenty of people more than willing to work for the current wages?
Why would anyone do that when they can just import someone from a third world country with a much worse living condition and they'll be more than happy to work for scraps instead?

You haven't yet understood that the question that really matters is: "Why would anyone ever pay you more than they already do?"
Until you can answer that, you'll be going nowhere.

This is the same shit companies have said since the start of the minimum wage as a whole and nothing happened. This doesn't mean there is no limit to how high the minimum wage can be, but at the very least I like that it is pegged to inflation here.

Yes good all small businesses must be extinguished in favor of amazog and walmart

And they will do everything from firing employees to just packing up and moving shop in order to keep them that way
There is nothing you can do to stop them from leaving

YOU DONT DO ANYTHIING WORTH A DOLLAR. look yourself in the mirror faggot, you're not a woman.

why not $500 an hour? Why not a million? Then everyone can be a millionaire!

What's funny is it was Tucker Carlson who made me rethink this. He basically said that if these people make $10 an hour or whatever WE end up paying through taxes all the free shit they have to apply for to live, housing, food, heating bills. Most of the time the low wage workers are part time "they are getting experience" and no benefits. Then the owner owns 5 houses. I get good pay and really can't think of anything I do that you have to pay for.
