>Sinn Fein
Most Republicans hate them and just vote for them to keep British out

They don't represent Republicans, just jumped on the IRA bandwaggon in the 80s and are now associated with IRA

Saoradh are the main party here but don't run as it's the same as an Irishman running for office in Britain

>Saoradh are the main party here
You're talking clean shite lad, sad. Why?
SF just won majority due to a split unionist vote, Saoradh are seen as boogiemen that shot a queer journalist in Creggan a while ago

People don't understand Irish Republicanism. They view it through the clouded lens of Anglo/American politics. This muddies their view of it.

They bleat about Irish Republicans being "left leaning" or "socialist", as if it's surprising. Ireland was essentially a colony until the early-mid 1800s, and even then its politics was dominated by land reforms due to the aforementioned colonial rule. Opposition to colonialism and exploitative capitalism is built into the very core of modern Irish Republicanism, as it was one of the greatest cancers to Irish society.

They whinge about the Republic of Ireland. Irish Republicans do not support the Republic of Ireland; it was built on the mass graves of Irish revolutionaries who were slaughtered in the name of preserving the British status-quo politics, and to enable a counter-revolution in the 1920s. Irish Republicans believe that both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland must be replaced with one independent nation, free of foreign interference or exploitation.

They bleat about the EU, about Sinn Féin, about immigration, about all of these broad beats of modern politics that are replicated a far greater extreme in the vast majority of western European nations. They act as though Ireland have "squandered" their revolution, or their independence. Still, they don't understand. There is a reason why the ROI cared so much about not being hostile to Britain. There is a reason that Irish Republicanism is still so "taboo", and why radical politics is so intolerable to many.

Irish Republicans have not been in power in Ireland since 1921/early 1922. Irish Republicans are relentlessly hostile to the cancerous affect that Britain has upon Ireland and the world, and are broadly opposed to imperialism and colonialism on a global scale. Irish Republicans oppose big corporations. Irish Republicans are ready and willing to kill or die for Ireland. They have never been in power. But they will be some day.

They ARE what remains of the political wing of the Provisional IRA, the O.G Troubles IRA.
Sure, they've since (in my view) been compromised but they are the 1970's Northern Ireland provos.

>Irish Republicans have not been in power in Ireland since 1921/early 1922.
In the free state. Irish Republicans ran the north in republican areas during the troubles.

From a military perspective they're not impressive at all. As a civilian guerilla movement they're pretty cool.

Militarily, not politically obviously.

They're the main oarty for republicans

Seinn Feinn only won because vite for them to keep out the DUP (Brits) if they didn't vote for them then republicans would be a tiny minority on a split vote

a slightly bigger, evil clone of the IRA with inverted colors

I don't know. They taught the likes of FARC, fought against Israelis over Palestine, manufactured weapons like this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrack_buster and were pretty effective overall.
