Many of you guys would say children give meaning to life and that people who don't procreate are failures but there are countless great men who never had children or even wed. 4. Dating has only gotten harder in the internet age and the economic and social conditions for raising children is only getting more difficult.
I just don't see the benefit. Sex isn't that hard to attain (especially with money) and I'm not lonely as I have great friendships so I'm not missing out in those regards. What reason is there for me to tie myself down to something that has a high likelihood of failing or making me unhappy?

Can't argue that there seems a connection between "greatness" of some men and not having children, but for every great man you mentioned, tens of thousands died accomplishing nothing. Hitler also likely would've had children had the world not turned against him and there was time for peace.
