America seems to be a shithole compared to parts of Europe.
But how do people in the Netherlands for example save and invest money for their future with extremely high taxes and lower salaries?

>But you pay for the quality of life and infrastructure
I understand, but as you get older, do you not want to have your own savings and property eventually?

Eat dry bread and drink tap water
Use a bike
Dont turn on the heat, put on an extra sweater
Keep as much cash as possible
Buy land in a 3rd world country

Savings on bank are not taxed under 56k.
When you're married or registered partners you can save up till 101k untaxed.

General taxes may look high but its not that bad yet desu.

At that point your better off living in urban America, making a lot more money while still spending, and then leaving.

user I want to fuck European woman, enjoy my life while also biking and spending money, is that too much to ask for.

About the salaries:
I could save 500-1000 a month easily if i watch the small numbere

you sure?

Yes.
The salaries that you receive on your bank are already taxed.
So when you earn 3k a month you'll receive about 2.5k after taxes on your bank.

It's not sustainable. Netherlands has always been a good place to live, but the tax increase and power hungry direction of politics makes it a lot worse. It leaves me thinking it will collapse at some point, after which it should be comfy again for a while.

Even given that, why are all salaries lower regardless of the field? Seems like a rip-off no?The same international will pay you sustainably less there.

If its "a good place to live" still, the poticians arent power hungry, yet.

ITS GONNA BE A WILD SUMMER WOOOHOOOOO

Example: Los Angeles

Well. Yes and no.
Things will become WAY more expensive with all the things going on now.
Gasoline is already insanely expensive.
Gas is getting way too expensive.
Having a car is getting expensive.
Electricity is getting more and more expensive.
Healthcare and the whole healthcare system ks getting out of control.
The so called nitrogen crisis.
Housing prices are insane atm.

List could go on.

We're at absolute poverty levels compared to usa atm

To which numbers are you comparing?

Anons, I dont speak dutch, how would a move be for me?

Everyone speaks English.
Just pretend to be muslim and gay and you'll receive a house in no time.

Take a dev job. Seems the average there is 60k max 100k euro. Thats barely starting level salaries here.

>pretend to be muslim and gay and you'll receive a house in no time
Please dont tell me your city isnt turning into Paris.

This
My brother is IT and emigrated NL -> USA
And ye he confrirms NL is poverty

is*
That wouldnt be favorable.

I think what is relevant would be what you could do with your salary.
60-100k is 2-3x average median salary here.
But some jobs are indeed underpayed. But working in the branch you mentioned; you could easily haggle your salary up to 60-75k a year if you have the qualifications for it.

how do you afford to buy a house or major investments like that? is it possible? i don't want to flex my big american wage but that's very low fren

The whole of the Randstad (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht) is.

It's collapsing as we speak

My American thoughts exactly.

Even at an 75k, how do you afford a house anywhere desirable in the future.

People get mortgages

The housing market is absolutely insane at the moment so yes. You cant, at least not in the big cities. Prior to the house market insanity it was actually very easy.
In (for example) Amsterdam it is not unheard to pay 500k to a million for a house.
Meanwhile in based nature. It is not even 300k.

You dont, Dutch people have been cucked since the 70s into thinking that making enough money to barely sustain is normal. If youre not a business owner youre being raped by tax, or youre on the dole.

At least you have cool bicycles and white women.

that's still insanely high relative to wages and what you can save. i keep my expenses minimal and saved for a house with no mortgage in a year after i started my job. granted i do get paid very well and especially for the local cost of living, but the dutch situation sounds brutally expensive relative to income and expenses.
