Are they lying about the world population or smthn?
In Russia i see crowds in the street, back in La i can walk around st any time of a day and see maybe 2-4 people max.

We are basically waiting to see if a civil war starts soon, yes standard of living for average person is still high but the sudden drop many won't take well. Decades of zoning laws have made everything in most cities too spread out to walk. You still see people walk in downtown areas or for recreation. Especially in touristy areas. But in general, intentionally crippled mass transit, suburbs, and car culture have all made walking everywhere much less common than driving.

Dunno what you mean, here in Los Angeles there are people everywhere when I walk around outside, too many. From what I see of Europe there are lots of wide plazas, big sidewalk areas and car-free streets- so plenty of space. I really don't like walking close to people on a metre-wide walkway. I often just walk in the street dodging traffic than go through the ant trails that are American sidewalks.
