by the way, it can and already has. the issue is that "science" is an industry with vested interests. healthy keto is the basics in terms of proper eating, or at least keeping carbs very limited. this has been proven a million times over.

The true best option is Paleo. Eat natural occuring things that a foraging hunter gatherer would have. This caters to our biological history, since we still have not had time to evolve and adapt to even a farmers diet.

Keto is specialized, and optimal for athletic performance and weight loss.
Athletic performance comes from the ability to draw straight from fat stores for energy. Typically one would use up the limited glucose stores, then switch to ketones from fat. The swap over takes time and energy. Keto eliminates swap over.

Weight loss occurs due to reduced hunger cravings allowing for calorie deficit. The main hunger signal is leptin, released when insulin wears off. No carbs = no insulin = no leptin = reduced hunger.

Food corporations have paid off the government and scientists for decades so they can keep America fat and unhealthy

In a hypothetical if 60% of people need purely processed grains and the remaining 40% requires only meat then the optimal diet is a 6:4 ratio of grain to meat and everyone should eat in that ratio.
The 2k calorie diet, which is more or less standard, was created from a self survey of eating habits of about 2k people.

Yes but consider grains a necessary storage staple food rather than a direct staple. They're only grown and eaten because they have long shelf life. If Sumeria had adequate refrigeration bread wouldn't be a thing. So look at what they were eating and adjust to use grains sparingly.

Whatever your ancestors ate 150+ years ago is the closest you can get to perfect. Eat fresh local and seasonal as much as possible and traditionally preserved food when fresh isn't available. What we ate pre agriculture fits us even better still, it's just not really possible to pull off.

Carnivore is the most logical choice. Nutritional epidemiology can't inform on anything so you need to look to other areas of science. Stable isotope testing shows our ancestors ate nearly all meat. Mixing carbs and fats activates the randle cycle and if you do this daily you'll be chronically systemically inflamed. You don't need carbohydrates since you can make all the glucose you need via gluconeogenesis. Most plants people eat today didn't exist even a few hundred years ago and seed oils are an industrial invention for the most part. Meat also doesn't contain plant defence toxins and meat contains all necessary nutrients in the proper forms unlike vegetables.
Just transition slowly over a month no less and continue for at least 3 months before making any judgements.
