Depends how you view it really. Abundance and resources for the West are certainly aplenty, but the prevalence of mental illness has never been so high and community cohesion scores have never been so low.

We're not feeling it too bad yet in the US, but anyone in charge of purchasing at any company will tell you they have multiple things on back-order they used to be able to get overnight and are sometimes having problems re-stocking essentials.

But it's not due to abundance. The problem is that children are now not raised by their own mothers.
The problem is that it's actually more expensive to run a society in which children need to be raised by 3rd party. There's a wealth that is being thrown away, and that's the mother's love for their children. It's like each person is born with a million dollars, or more, and they just burn it, so the woman can go be a slave of some company and live the cubicle life.
It's very inefficient to have "other people" that don't love your children raise your children all day, instead of having the mother.
And the result of "motherless" kids, is lower IQ, emotionally unstable people, anxiety ridden, prone to crime, and decreased economic success.
