So I started watching Vaush's videos last week (on youtube recordings of his streams). Now I've usually been pretty right-leaning libertarian. Maybe not very conservative but I also never believed in social change and was pretty much still a pol guy just less trad. This guy is introducing to me reasonable arguments that I then cross referenced and looked further into. I then started watching other channels like Second Thought and Moon and seeing how capitalism and American conservativism is hurting us. I was an (unironic) incel who believed Trump would save us but now I see that the patriarchy is what harmed men and sprouted the manosphere shit and the unemployed lonely men here. I learned that most leftists aren't screeching hambeasts who overapply their beliefs unreasonably.
I've decided I'm going to make friends with actual lefties now, maybe join some activism group because holy shit the conservative ones are just sausage fests of very strange, unsociable people.
I get this place is slightly more politically diverse so I know this won't fall on deaf ears when I say the left is better than the right and makes much more sense logically when you study the way societies work and you actually become a human. It feels good for once to not stifle my sympathy and express what I knew all along it should be

Not gonna lie, former Vaush subscriber here. This is fucking hilarious watching Vaush hot takes on age of consent. But in all seriousness we can't let this guy get the kids locker room codes.
Anarcho-syndicalism (like Catalonia during the second republic) seems like the most practical solution on a macro level - you need some sort of mass institution to manage the distribution of resources at that level and the labor unions (if democratically run) seems like the obvious way to do so in as non exploitative way as possible.
What Vaush is correct about is that you can't dictate demand for consumer goods from on high, nor can you ignore the desire for those products like the Soviets tried - any ideology that dictates giving up your iPhone isn't going to get mass appeal. Market socialism on a micro level seems again like a more practical option than orthodox Marxism as a consequence.
