Thinking about joining Air Force because NEET

>thinking about joining Air Force because NEET
>look up salary
>it's 75% of what I'd make working minimum wage at McDonalds
The American military is truly fucked, isn't it?

They will not accept you. You will be handed a brochure for the Navy.

What kind of retard posts this in a brand new thread?

I scored in the 98th percentile on my practice ASVAB though.

How old are you into your NEETness? If you’re 21+ NEET then they’ll assume you’re deficient regardless of how you did in school.

Having a job will make you want to kill yourself.

sometimes I wonder why I keep coming here when it's nothing but personal demoralization

being a neet for years makes me want to kill myself

They need people bad, Go to /k/ and find the enlistment general thread if you really wanna join up

Lol it’s not that serious, I’m just saying the air force is notoriously difficult to get into and often the recruiters don’t even want to recruit anyone and are just there for show. I was NEET until 26, got a Google certificate for Data Analysis and am currently doing just fine for myself. It’s not impossible.

>The American military is truly fucked, isn't it?
Good

>Join air force as and somehow become a pilot
>Eventually leave air force and get the benefits
>Because you were an air foce pilot it's very easy to get a job in an air liner who right now have a shortage of pilots

thinking about joining sage

Join the Army
Sign up for 3 years
Pick a very easy MOS
Spend 1 year in training
Work your easy job for only 2 years

Get 5 years of college for free, and get $1800 a month in housing allowance.
Get a Guaranteed housing loan.

I sound like a recruiter but working 3 years, to get a NEET card for 5 years seems worth it.

Do you have a degree?

It's not really about making money but consider this:

You don't pay rent

You don't pay for chow

The military gives you everything you actually need. All the money you get is yours to either piss away or save

The GI bill only pays you for 36 maximum months. I don't think you know what you're talking about user.

If you are actually able to become a pilot in the air force, you receive something way more valuable than the actual pay you receive as an officer. You get flight hours. The reason most commercial pilots are former military is because its fucking expensive to pay for enough flight hours via private commercial pilot instruction

No. I just got the certificate and provided a few examples of the work I can do in my cover letter.

36 months of in-school time. There is a spring semester, and fall semester, and Summer (in which there is no school). So the GI bills months are spring semester and fall semester and then you are off for summer. That is one year.

So 36 months + 5 summers = 5 years total.
>I went to school for 5 years on the GI bill, got a 4-year degree, and still have 9 months left on my GI bill

I did about what the other user replied with also and spent 4 years in uni, unless you're going full time in the summer it'll last a bit and part time only takes a fraction of a month
other things to consider aside from base pay, some jobs get special duty pay (mine did)
if you dont get to eat at a dfac you get food allowance (mine did) and when you move out of the dorms at around e4 usually you get a housing allowance (find buddies you can tolerate, rent a house)
the extra pay adds up and it goes to your account so you don't have to just spend it on food
I think the food budget was around 250 a month also

or you can get a scholarship, and avoid a shitty army existance.
t. has masters degree never paid a cent

Do you enjoy lying on the internet to anonymous strangers?

>Salary
Did you consider BAH? That is a big component of enlisted income and it's tax free

How long did that certificate take? How much money you make? How much did the certificate cost?

I work in data analytics but I’m looking for ways to be better

Also what programs did you learn? SQL, excel, etc?
