Go to any engineering class and it’s 95% men. It’s inevitable quality will suffer because there isn’t an ample supply of women.

This is a good thing for men, the women won't be able to do the job and they'll have to hire male contractors to do it instead.

IMO, the bottom is going to fall out when nobody can build an app to get rich because 3 tech companies already built everything into the OS of the phones. That day is coming and it's coming sooner than anyone realizes.

i have seen multiple HR people in tech accidentally leak that they are explicitly looking for diversity hires. if you are an "oppressed minority" you will receive a phone call after submitting your resume. time to change your name to something foreign sounding

My tech lead in a high power finance Corp is a woman, and she's a fucking genius, no doubt about it. Very nice lady also. However, she's still young (probably mid to late 30s), has no kids, doubt she has any relationship, and is logged in to work 24/7. She schedules meetings almost daily that are hours after her 8 hours a day. It's very, very, very sad to see her give her life to this soulless corporation that doesn't give a shit about her. I think it's easier for women to be indentured servant tier than it is for men who generally are able to abstract work more within an overall financial picture.

It will likely end up lowering the standards of the field in order to accomodate, on whatever level, as in every field that now has the same quotas. Quality, competence, and truth are just all too easily and often necessarily sacrificed merely for the virtue signalling and politically correct organization and outcome of society (no matter the cost).

They think they are right and reality is wrong, and they intend to do as much damage as possible to reality and its perception that they somehow manage to change it to be ln line with their views.

Lots of women getting easy $250K/yr jobs while the few capable men get paid the same or less to do 100x the work.

Any Forums is pretty retarded about most issues, but quotas are stupid, especially for engineering. My cousin (female) works at a big SF startup (who ironically just had massive layoffs) and she explicitly told me they were looking for a PoC/female for a role I asked about. I do devops/cloud shit and almost never see women in these roles.

Why not identify as a woman, get that $250k job, and change nothing about your appearance?

I would rather we just change this shitty system instead.

Engineering is like the only college major nowadays where men are still the majority. If universities are encouraged to promote more women and less men to their programs because of corporate demand then that's just going to make the current situation with men not going to college even worse.

This. It's just window dressing. The actual ratio of men to women will be the same, just the vast majority of men will be classified as contractors.
