The United States imposed a ban on the import of gold from Russia. Considering that gold can be sold not only to the West, this measure seems to be as dubious as a “switch off from SWIFT” (by the way, where is the promised financial apocalypse?) or a fresh “default. In addition, in the current realities, exchanging gold for dollars or euros would be, frankly, a dubious decision.
