This is about highly accurate maps that were (((abandoned))) for inferior ones, and about suppressed/destroyed knowledge and science of the old world. Just read the sites linked in the OP. Use Google Translate for the German stuff. The Ahnenerbe was an institution part of the SS that researched and documented Germanic and European culture, and researched the ancient world, etc, including those maps.

This is probably correct, because Piri Reis (the roach who made a 1513 map showing Anarctica) wrote a report saying that the roaches arrested Columbus' associate.
Of course they took his papers and this is where Piri's map comes from.
But Piri also noted that during the interrgation the guy said that Columbus had a copy of an ancient book which was evacuated from Egypt during the Muslim invasion.
The guy claimed that Columbus' brother knew Coptic, so he translated it, and then they started touring Europe looking for people to sponsor the trip.
Thus ended a 1000 year period of darkness.

What I know is our "discoveries" weren't discoveries at all; it was pretty much all known land: Açores name seems to have come from Azures. It was for long tied to Açor (goshawk), even tjough there's never been one there. Madeira seems to have been known since phœnicians, who some claim offered to move lusitanians there when romans invaded; Brasil was known, and french got mad we claimed it, because they had dibs on it, etc...
"Sagres school" never existed, it's just a shitty recent fort in the butt of the world, and it'd have taken literally months for people to get there, then.

Apparently the library of Alexandria.. well.. they confiscated every book that any traveler had, copied it, then kept the original and gave a copy... that's the story of how they got the enormous collection - by force.

i read the text and checked the author he was a legit nazi, but i didn't find anything about him having connections to Ahnenerbe.
this text could be published during the reich or before it or even somewhat after 45, font and writing style were still used up into the early 70s sometimes.
