Mercouris explained well how the west expected two scenarios:
1) Rush the Donbass with no Russian military reaction (Ukie army activity since late 2021 points to this)
2) Russia invades, Ukraine folds quick; The West enacts economic sanctions to suffocate Russia economically and funds a cheap, but effective Ukrainian insurgency (both the early talking points about how Kiev falls in three days and how Ukraine will turn into another Afghanistan for Russia points to this)
With how things turned out, Russia can sustain the war indefinitely, and Ukraine is a black hole gobbling 15 billion dollars per month. Unironically, it would be better for the EU and America if the central Ukrainian government collapses because it will slash the expenses in half.
>Tajikistan is a country in Central Asia surrounded by Afghanistan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. It’s known for rugged mountains, popular for hiking and climbing. The Fann Mountains, near the national capital Dushanbe, have snow-capped peaks that rise over 5,000 meters. The range encompasses the Iskanderkulsky Nature Refuge, a notable bird habitat named for Iskanderkul, a turquoise lake formed by glaciers.
Sounds like a nice place.

But they're not Commies! They're clearly hiding from the giant Lenin's head. And I'd say they're doing a pretty good job so far.

>Unironically, it would be better for the EU and America if the central Ukrainian government collapses because it will slash the expenses in half. Yes, but it will look like a loss. All the West cares about is projection.

Man don't even mention that, it's still painfully stupid. The Caracal deal was priced up but extremely favorable as we were getting choppers that fulfill all the requirements stated in the tender and the offset was full technology transfer over next years and frogs building an assembly plant and giving us tech to eventually make the parts including electronic suite and avionics ourselves. HUGE boon to our industry as after some years we were free to use that tech wherever. But then the fucking clowns axed this deal as not favorable enough and first made up some Ukraine-Polish joint venture and then monkey mod Blackhawks with gutted electronics and no night vision. And to this fucking day we have no choppers.
Actually, i think it would be wise for Russia to let a sizeable amount of hohols escape, they would heavily undermine thee moral of the units who would take them in and therefore reduce combat effectiveness on the long run.
