The parallels are clear - Crimea - Baikonur, eastern Ukraine - northern Kazakhstan, anti-Russian agenda and internal politics. Russians present. Though Ukraine is much more historically and ethnically Russian (and white) compared to kazakhs.

I think the tension there cannot be resolved peacefully and war is inevitable. In fact, all of the former USSR land must go through wars to determine who gets what - there is no such thing as independence and sovereignty unearned by blood.
