If all cars on the road were electric right now, it would only require 25% extra electricity generated per year. Increasing the grid's output by 25% over decades is entirely possible since we did far more in the past.

since we use oil for many other things than gas, all of the gas extracting costs will be transferred to them, meaning plastics, medicine etc. will be more expensive, oil price will actually increase since gasoline companies and consumers were basically footing the bill for oil extraction so far, oil companies aren't stupid shell has a full think tank making a yearly reports about all kinds of shit
