Just finished the best game of all time. It's crazy that I've already experienced the apex, and everything else is worse.

Like what do I do now? Ask you guys for the 2nd best game ever made? What's the point? How long do I need to forget about this? Will video games ever be the same?

I don't know.

FFVII

KZ Manager

An excellent game, Top 5 for sure.

in the mid 90's, my SNES cartridge had a defunct battery, I could not save any game and death would be an instant restart. I used to play this for hours on the day and the furthest I got was the fight with Magus in his castle. I lived in the middle of nowhere at the time and had no clue a small watch battery soldered until 10 year after the fact. Dark times frens..

>the best game of all time
That isn't hyperbole

Kind of epic really
You could have become the greatest CT player in the world by doing only one life runs until you beat the game

crono cross is unironically better

Spotted the nigger.

>Like what do I do now?
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1)
Super Mario RPG

Bait, guys don't take it

Bro you should have played it in the 90s. Even though the much more powerful PS1 was already out by then, you knew it was something very special.

kek chrono cross is way worse

I've tried picking it.up a few times, I can't get into it. Nice music tho

>Super Mario RPG
this is the best mario game for sure

I wonder if chronotrigger is why so many people are weebs these days

FFXIV is the best piece of media i've EVER experienced from beginning to end. Better than any movie or book or tv show or other game i've ever played.
Every person involved in the creation of the game is not only an artist, but an artisan. The writing, the story, the characters, the music, is all top-notch in my opinon.
I fucking hate tattoos but am considering getting Emet-Selchs mask or a Kupo as a tiny artwork on me somewhere just so I can remember this journey 30 years from now.

Yoshi P, Soken, Ishikawa....Thank you so much.

I bought it and beat it when it first came out
I never played it again
It was an ok game but I never understood why people were so obsessed with it

this is what the jews took from you..

The two bosses who gave me the most trouble in those runs was the Fat Yellow guy in the Mountains, Masa+Mune, or the fucking dino boss. I lost many a battles to him. I was young at the time and 'guides' were non existent so I new the game inside and out up to those points then

CC is an above average RPG, and I love it.
But the 40+ same-y characters that have little to no backstory or development is really a bummer. The game has way too much going on, I wish someone could have told the devs to focus up.

Idk if Chrono trigger is the best game ever, but it was lots of fun and I got to play it when it was new. I absolutely love that style of RPG

Top tier taste

>Mario rpg
In my top 5 for sure. I love that game. I wish they had made another one in the same style.

All those games are in the pantheon.

This game completely changed my perspective of what a video game could be. I rented it from Blockbuster and it was the first game I ever binged on.

Because it had a lot of personality, tons of secrets, it took a while to beat it, and had massive replayability. Oh, and combat was fun and engaging

Earthbound gives you a trad gf who loves to pray, and it is also by far the most high IQ of all jRPGs.

Over rated.

I didn't really like Chrono Trigger as much as Final Fantasy. FF has a more adult story and themes.

This is in my Top 5. Gygas have me a fear of end bosses for ages. I would power level every game after that to make sure I would kick the end bosses ass.

it's fun and the writing is quite alright
its jrpg mechanics have aged like dogshit, though
without emulator speedup this is unbearably slow and don't give me shit about attention spans or something, I just don't feel like watching the same fucking combat animations a million times over just to get to the good parts

Another vote for Tactics here

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series) is probably my favorite turn-based RPG
