Contingency plans

guys, what do we do if republicans don't win this November or 2024? are most of you going full recluse or moving out? I have a bad feeling they will NEVER let working america win again and it's got me thinking of endgame strategies. what's your predictions for each outcome?

I'm just going to move to Mexico, probably will have less mexicans

My plans are already to escape the system as much as possible. Both sides are voting on gun control, so there's essentially just one side. I'm going to turn a barn into a house, raise chickens, and learn how to farm basic caloric foods (potatoes, actual onions [not s o i], etc.). Anyone who isn't distancing themselves as much as possible from the monetary system, and getting their hands on as many commodities/commodities producing items as possible is a rube.

someone offered me 150 grand to move back down to the lower 48, fuck no

Mexico over Canadian? you speak Spanish ese?

what about internet? water, electricity, etc. I very much doubt it's possible to get 100% off the system without forfeiture of 1st world amenities

There's going to be a nuclear war with Russia within 10 years, if not earlier. Demographics + the current situation in Europe guarantee this. Electricity is a minor concern. Acquiring access to heating (wood stoves) and fuels for vehicles (bio-diesel of any kind, from used cooking oil, peanut oil, to actual processed bio-diesel). The internet will be a blip on humanities' timeline. That being said, I do want to save all of my music, and maybe hold on to a laptop somehow. Probably a small faraday cage in the floor somewhere. A diesel generator is nice, but unless it is sound-proofed, it is just telling everyone "Hey, I'm here and I'm richer than you!"

>Acquiring wood stoves and fuel is a greater priority
Didn't form that sentence correctly. Got ahead of myself.

that's another BIG issue in the first few months or even YEARS of collapse, poaching. There will be rampant poaching and stealing upon headstarters like you user. At least before the first major die-offs. Would it not make more sense to bunker down for as long as possible and hopefully trade some gold coins or something for chickens THEN work the lands?

>I'm vooooting
The game is rigged. the results are based on backroom deals. Each time you vote you legitimize this charade. Vote in local elections only.

Potatoes and root vegetables store okay-ish. They had root cellars for a reason, back in the day.
>Hopefully trade
If you don't hold it, you don't own it. If you plan on surviving, you should own the things required to survive, first.
>Gold
Alcohol will be more valuable. Even toilet paper will be more valuable.

And if republicans DO win, what will change?

>m-muh political theater
Oh no! If the heckin Republicanoos don't win america will be ruiined!! D:

Shit is going to get dramatically "better" and way more people will understand more stuff. Be cautious though, when everything does get "saved" and "better" it'll actually be fake and gay. You'll understand when it happens.

yes yes well my flavor of schizo is different from yours anons

what quality seeds are you buying and from where? eh I wouldn't count out monetary systems THAT quickly. Too ingrained in human life. Would take at least a couple of decades to get to that point and that would be from exponential deterioration with no hope or progression

Gold won't make a comeback after a nuclear war until the first township of 1000 people mints its own currency. Until you reach a critical mass of people, just regular human indebtedness and social contracts will work. Currency isn't needed until you have foreign labor traveling into/out of your region for work, at which point they need to be able to
>Travel with their payment
>Be able to use that payment anywhere, or at least with enough vendors that recognize it for it to be viable
Until that happens, gold is a paperweight. Alcohol is a better currency at first, as it converts waste food into a useful product that stores well (and still has caloric value if worst comes to worst).

what labor skills will be valued/ranked the most do you think user?

answer the question

I don't know. It depends on what survives. If computers still function then someone who can recover data might find themselves very wealthy, provided some small commune can support the power needs of such an endeavor. Knowledge has value. Teachers will have value, because there's going to be a lot of kids, and people don't know how to teach kids. Imagine trying to take time out of your day to tell kids what shapes are, what numbers mean, etc. Parents these days have no idea how to teach, and shit will look like The Road. Farming/Hunting/Tailoring will be valuable for obvious reasons, but people who are trying to survive will pick up on the basics quick enough. Actual chefs might become valuable, although I bet they will overlap with botanists/herbalists and the like. Beekeepers...the list goes on. If there's an aisle in the store and you say to yourself "Someone makes that and I have no idea how to do that," then chances are if someone survives the apocalypse and knows how to do it, it will be valuable. Mechanics and other hands on stuff, too.

The list goes on a long, long time, man. There's a lot of things that are valued, it just depends on if enough people can be physically supported by the land to continue working.

Wise people look for patterns in the past and see what fits today. So: 1968-1978.

Solar panel installer is one of the fastest growing careers.

I'm just going to skate the Kali Yuga

There won't be solar panels to install, but knowing how to wire everything would probably be a godsend. Again, it depends on how much energy/food is available to start with.

>goyim what do we do if the good jew doesn't win?
>much election goyim, you have to vote
>care about the election goyim you need to
>the election
>election
