More like flowery lyrics with despicable and degenerate meaning presented with upbeat/catchy music music. Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" "I'm in love with your body" is one of the worst offenders, implying sex and physical attractiveness is all you really need. Most people don't actually think about the words being spoken, and worse yet, they already think love is sex through other forms of media and their parents failed relationship.

They hear the lyrics in that song and many others. They know what's being said. They see nothing wrong with it because they already believe what's being said is true. After that, they ignore the lyrics on subsequent listens because they already get the point/message of the song. Why do you think so many relationships fail now? Why is porn absolutely everywhere now, and calling someone a jerkoff not an insult anymore? Why is calling someone a whore seen as politically incorrect, especially when it's true?
