It can be difficult. The easiest way is to complete a degree/education here because you get a 3 years works visa (i believe, it's called OPT, optional practical training) where you can work and hopefully in that time sponsor yourself for a green card if you're from a country we get relatively low immigration from (like norway) or your job can sponsor you for an job visa which can eventually become a green card. If you don't plan on doing any education here the easiest way by far is just to marry an American citizen. Unless you know someone hiring in "specialized roles" (like the poos or chinks) it's not very easy to get hired here directly from another country. You can also try the diversity visa lottery but that one is entirely up to chance.

Yes, if you are authorized to work in the USA. If you need a Visa sponsorship then that's a whole different story.

I don't know about "easy," as that really depends on your qualifications. But, the highest earning immigrant group in the US is Danes (likely due to a severe selection bias of only the most capitalisitically driven Danes having any reason to leave Denmark). If you're a normal Norwegian, you're smarter than almost all Americans. Only in jobs where everyone is smart will you not almost automatically be the smartest person in the room.
