Grew up in the suburbs, lived in several major cities around the world then moved back to my hometown. It’s great, fuck people, I can’t stand having to “go out” all the time. I’d rather just be at home with my family 90% of the time.

I grew up in a wealthy suburb of a major city, and I agree that rural america is fucking depressing. It's depressing driving through the country on the interstate, and it's depressing driving through a small town and seeing a McD and a Subway and some white trash bar/grille and that's it. There are a fuckton of poor Baptist churches though in these shithole towns..which makes it even more depressing.
