I was thinking of seeing a sleep doctor / physchologist for sleep and anger issues related to a head trauma from a couple yeas back but now I can't afford it as medicine is stupid expensive.
Obviously Obongo Care was retarded and racist, but how do we make medicine affordable again without enslaving the young healthy and strong to the obese, fat and the lazy?

insurance is literally the dictionary definition of a pyramid scheme. I refuse to pay for health insurance and I do not opt in every year when it is offered at my work.
Except for dental because that costs like $50 a year and I get free dental cleaning as a result which actually gives me a tangible good or service worth or more than worth the money I paid.

In UK its like $10K (or "pounds") a year startup fees to have a car but in USA its a "can't afford NOT to" even in the city.

AFAIK its a "PPO" which is diff from HMO in that you can't go Doctor Shopping and choose from a bunch of more or less actual legit private docs in The Plan.
Generally its pretty darn good. Docs in your plan have incentive to see and treat you, VS HMO where try to duck you and will avoid addressing cancer till its too late to save money and kill you.
PPO will have slightly higher "out of pocket" but well worth it. You can see specialists on YOUR say so. HMO is "not real coverage" IMO.
yeah, US PPO like BCBS is about best in the world although they fucked me out lung cancer screening (due to Covid our staff couldnt approve in time) and I'm thinking I should sue in Small Claims.

I don't have any way to compare BCBS to any other insurance service, I wouldn't even know what metrics to use. They covered what they said they would, which is good I suppose.
